Primary Authority - Assured Advice
From 1 October 2013 the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 brought in new legislation that means that Primary Authority relationships are now accessible to more businesses.
The NFoPP has entered in to a Memorandum of Understanding with Warwickshire County Council Trading Standards Service to operate as the Primary Authority for eligible members of the NAEA, ARLA, ICBA and NAVA.
Members will benefit through the provision of tailored advice on a range of legislation enforced by Trading Standards. Advice provided by Warwickshire County Council Trading Standards Service will come with an assurance that it will be respected by all local regulators preventing inconsistent interpretation of regulations.
We are pleased to announce that we can now automatically start the registration process for all eligible PPD member firms, unless you already belong to a Primary Authority Scheme or we have been advised in writing that you do not wish to belong to the partnership.
Please note that the registration process will trigger an email to be sent to the main PPD of the company, unless we have been advised differently, from: firstname.lastname@example.org and this address should be added to your safe sender list to avoid any possibility of it being intercepted by spam filters.
The aforementioned email will contain general information about the partnership as well as the relevant supporting documentation and certification. Upon receipt of the email the company will be able to rely upon the advice/guidance provided through the partnership, to view the assured advice please click here.
